Public auction No. EE-D2/2026 for the sale of electricity produced by TEŠ d.o.o.
In accordance with the third paragraph of Article 9 and the second paragraph of Article 36 of the Act on Transitional Financing of the Accelerated and Fair Exit from Coal (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 109/2024 of 20/12/2024), Borzen, the electricity market operator d.o.o., within which the support centre operates, conducted the public auction No. EE-D2/2026 for the sale of electricity produced at the Šoštanj Thermal Power Plant.
Conduct of the auction
Borzen conducted the auction on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, in collaboration with BSP through the long-term trading platform. The auction was attended by 7 companies, 5 domestic and 2 foreign.
Auction product
The auction product was base load energy in selected months in 2026, as defined in Announcement of public auction, in the total amount of 43.800 MWh (Product 1) and 87.600 MWh (Product 2).

In accordance with the third paragraph of Article 9 and the second paragraph of Article 36 of the Act on Transitional Financing of the Accelerated and Fair Exit from Coal (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 109/2024 of 20 December 2024), Borzen, the operator of the electricity market, d.o.o., conducted the public auction No. CO2-D2/2026 for the purchase of emission allowances for the needs of the operation of Termoelektrarna Šoštanj d.o.o.
Conduct of the auction
Borzen conducted the auction on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, in collaboration with BSP through a long-term trading platform. The auction was attended by 6 companies, 2 domestic and 4 foreign.
Auction product
The auction product was the purchase of emission allowances according to a predetermined monthly schedule, defined in Announcement of public auction No. CO2-D2/2026. The total quantity of emission allowances was 72.000 EUA for Product 1 and 270.000 EUA for Product 2.

Auction product
The auction product was base load energy in form of closed contracts in selected months in 2026, as shown in the table below, in the total amount of 174.720 MWh.
